About Stuart Gilliland
Principal Consultant, Integrity Nexus Ltd
Stuart Gilliland founded Integrity Nexus Ltd to do one thing well: help organisations solve hard problems. The kind that sit at the intersection of regulatory pressure, technology change and operational complexity. This is not generalist consulting. It is senior, hands-on expertise drawn from thirty years at the sharp end of high-stakes delivery.
Track record
Programmes that had to deliver
Over twenty years in financial services, Stuart directed some of the most consequential mandatory change programmes in UK and European banking: the UK Faster Payments launch, the SEPA Euro payments rollout across multiple European jurisdictions, and the decommissioning of a global transaction services business spanning more than 300 applications and tier-1 institutional clients. These were not optional initiatives. They had to work, on time, under close supervisory and board scrutiny. They did, because they were built on strong teams: recruited well, developed deliberately, and given clarity of purpose.
Financial crime
Building financial crime capability that lasts
At a large Nordic bank, Stuart built and developed a high-performing financial crime and KYC function across all business lines and jurisdictions spanning the full Nordic region. He brought together specialists from across the region into a cohesive, capable team, developed their expertise, and navigated regulatory engagements at senior supervisory authority level across multiple European jurisdictions. The measure of success was not just delivery; it was whether the organisation had the team and the capability to sustain that performance after external support was withdrawn.
Advisory
Analysis, options and decisions
Not every engagement is programme delivery. A significant part of the work at Integrity Nexus is helping organisations think clearly: mapping a regulatory or operational problem across the full business domain, stress-testing the available options, and arriving at a decision that leadership can own with confidence. This is practical, senior-level consulting, not a framework exercise.
Our approach
How we work
Stuart works directly on every engagement. Where a piece of work calls for additional specialist resource, he draws on a trusted network of experienced associates, bringing the right expertise to each assignment without the overhead of a large consultancy. Clients get senior attention on the work, not a handoff to a team.
